Make Believe is a series of exhibitions that engaged with commodity culture and politics during, what may have been, the dying days of neo-liberalism. The first installation in the series, Strangely Familiar, which was exhibited in Sydney in 2005, brought home relationships between comforts and terrors, and the second, Dream Home, exhibited in Washington D.C. in 2006, shifted focus to correlations between possessions and dispossessions. While in 2007, in New York City, Lobby and Spin contemplated the coming 2008 US election, and Fold revisited home-making, interconnectivity and fallouts.
